2027 Chevy Trax Interior, Specs, Configurations – The Chevrolet Trax 2027 has received a thorough redesign, meaning it offers more space and style than its predecessor. The Trax comes in five distinct trim levels. The LS starts at $23,699 and comes with a $2,000 delivery fee, whether or not it is negotiateable. Compared to the LT ($28,099) and the 1RS ($25,199), it is more costly. The two top trims are the Activ, which I tested, and the 2RS, which looks more sporty. Both models start at $30,199. Before taxes, I was able to upgrade my tester to $32,454 in total.
The Trax and the larger Chevrolet Blazer, a vehicle with a perky aspect and a remarkable likeness in appearance, are quite similar. Both the 2RS and Activ classes come with black wheels, however the rims on the Activ are 18 inches in diameter, and the wheels on the 2RS are 19 inches. All model levels come with LED headlights as standard.
A sunroof and a Nitro Yellow paint job were among the optional features that my tester could have. The main touchscreen measures eleven inches, while the digital instrument cluster measures eight inches. The inside is sleek and appears to be modular. Each of these elements is placed within a dash that is intended to mimic its corresponding line. Only the Activ features yellow accents on the vents and dashboard; the 2RS has red accents in the same places. 2027 Chevy Trax Interior
2027 Chevy Trax Redesign and Update Plan
Exterior and Interior
While the 2027 Chevrolet Trax’s headroom is comparable to that of most of its rivals, the Trax’s rear-seat legroom is significantly more than the Corolla Cross’s. And although though I had a quick first-drive evaluation and found the seats to be a touch firmer and less comfy, I was more satisfied with them after this week-long test. Active noise cancellation is included on all trims, and the interior is remarkably quiet for this market.
The Trax is a pleasant little car to drive, but that’s a high rating for a subcompact runabout. The steering is straight, fast, and well-weighted, yet light enough for maneuvering in a parking lot. Although it isn’t a sports vehicle, it is balanced and grippy enough to survive a turn. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is the sole available option for the Trax. Both the larger Blazer and the somewhat smaller Trailblazer have all-wheel drive (AWD).
Adaptive cruise control, a cargo privacy cover, heated seats and steering wheel, single-zone automated temperature control, satellite radio, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated mirrors, and roof rails are among the standard amenities of the Activ, some of which are also available on the cheaper models. As an optional feature, my tester’s wireless charger came with its sunroof.
The same priced 2RS varies in its manual driver’s seat and 19-inch wheels, but otherwise has the same equipment. While smaller wheels often ride better and cost less for winter or replacement tires, I would choose the Activ for its unique motorized seat.
2027 Chevy Trax Specs
Engine and Performance
All Trax versions have a turbocharged 1.2L three-cylinder engine that generates 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, connected to a six-speed automatic gearbox. This choice is better than an automatic continuously variable gearbox (CVT), which can sound mushy and droning when connected to a little engine.
In the city, the little engine starts up from stoplights with surprising power. It is put to the test when necessary for highway passing, so don’t expect you’ll be able to pull out when cars are coming fast and actually get away with it. Its limitations must be acknowledged, just like those of almost anything in this subcompact market. 2027 Chevy Trax Interior
2027 Chevy Trax Fuel Economy
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) rates the 2027 Chevrolet Trax at 8.3 L/100 km in the city, 7.4 L/100 km on the highway, and 7.9 L/100 km while traveling in combination. I used it for a week and got an average of 8.2 L/100 km. Regular grade fuel is used to power it.
The Kia Soul is the most comparable to the Trax at 7.8 L/100 km, while the Nissan Kicks has the lowest combined fuel economy at 7.2 L/100 km, with decimals separating it from the most of its FWD rivals.
2027 Chevy Trax Safety Features
However, standard features on all models include a follow-distance indicator, lane-keep assist, emergency front braking with pedestrian detection, teen driver control, automatic high-beam headlights, and a high-definition backup camera. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning is an optional feature on the two lowest levels, while it is standard on all other trims.
2027 Chevy Trax Price and Release Date
The Trax ranges in price from $23,699 to $30,199. The Nissan Kicks starts slightly above it at $23,728 while the Hyundai Venue starts below it at $22,574 among competitors with FWD. But, with delivery, the Kia Soul starts at around $24,795; the Kia Seltos at about $27,195; the Hyundai Kona at $27,934; and the Toyota Corolla Cross at $28,220.
My view of the 2027 Chevrolet Trax after a week of use is still that it’s a really outstanding car for its class. It’s a pleasure to drive, spacious, has excellent load handling capabilities, looks well, and is reasonably priced. Despite being the base model in Chevrolet’s portfolio, it doesn’t feel, look, or drive like the base model. 2027 Chevy Trax Interior
